Default New Kit [=

hey guys. it has been quite some time since i have logged in here. i have started an apprenticeship in a small town where i live alone and haven't worried about computer and internet access yet ( i go back home, home weekends). but anyway. thought i'd come on here for a look-see and let ya's know that when it comes i'll be the proud owner of a nice shiny new Canon EOS 5D mk II. Took some deciding before i bought it (as i currently only have nikon gear) i ended up getting the whole kit, battery grip, 580 flash, 24-105mm F/4L lens etc. but also. i got a Rode VideoMic with it, which might come in handy filming Motocross which i sometimes photograph.

Also.. does anyone know if you can still look at the camera properties for a photo posted on flickr ? i logged on there too just before and i can't find where that has gone...

Congratulations on the new kit, sorry to hear it's not Nikon! Just kidding, they all do their job well.
On the new flickr, open the picture then click the down arrow beside of "Actions", the click "View Exif Info".

Cool!
Did you eventually give up school as a bad idea? What apprenticeship are you doing?

yeah gave up school. i wasn't going anywhere but backwards with that. i scored myself an industrial electrician apprenticeship (hence why i can afford such a camera at 18)
