Well Chas, you have quite a few options as far as phoot hosting sites go. It just depends on whether or not you would like to pay, and believe me, you get what you pay for. I's say the most popular free hosting site would be Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket. Just realize that when you upload your digital images to photobucket, you will lose alot of quality as they compress the file significantly. The site does however offer a paid version which I hear is better. The best free option out the in my opinion is Welcome to Flickr - Photo Sharing. Their free version only allows a certain amount of upload per month. Now if you want to keep all of your quality and don't mind paying there are some great hosting sites, the one that I prefer to use is Zenfolio | hosting service for photo galleries | a place to learn and enjoy photography. hope this info helps.

Most people use flickr because it's very compatible with DPS. Sign up and click on the upload link. Then find where your pic is. (pic folder perhaps) Double click your pic and it will upload to flickr. From flickr, click on your pic and a new page will show. Above your pic are 2-3 tabs. Click on the "Share" tab and a menu will drop down. Click on the HTML code and another menu will drop down. There will be 2 boxes. One with a code and one for size. DPS prefers medium, so make sure it says medium. Then click in the box above it and it will highlight the text. Right click the text and choose copy.
Now go to DPS and where you would like to post your pic, Assignments,Share your Shot, ie. Look for "New Reply" button. Leave message and click under it. Then right click and choose paste. Then either preview or submit. Done. It seems very daunting at first, but trust me. After 2-3 times, you'll become a pro. Tip: I like to have 2 windows open during this. One for flickr and one for DPS. Especially for the Assignments. Because you will need to add the EXIF, which you'll find in the "action" tab in flickr. Do the same thing, Copy and paste. And the find the date and copy and paste. 2 windows makes it far easier. Hope that helped.
