Default Help with Actuation Count

Hey guys, I was wondering if someone can help me get my actuation count, I can send you a RAW or JPEG via e-mail.
USB on my EOS 40D is broken and I can't get a couple of these programs to read anything.
thanks a lot for the help

Isn't in the file name? On my Pentax if I am up to IMG_8767 then I know I have done 8767 actuations.

It is, but the person I bought it from said it might be around 3,000 but the image number on the saved files is at 600 so I doubt it is correct.

Yeah, one of the programs wouldn't read it for me, and the other requires me to plug in my camera, but I can't plug it in because the USB port isn't working.

Sure, but what if you reset the numbers (which I do often)?

You can get the shutter count from the EXIF information.

If you don't have Photoshop, download the free trial. The total shutter count is available in the file > info menu.

Do you mean File -> File Info...?
I can't find the actuation count anywhere there. (.CR2 from 450D and CS4)

Yes File -> File Info.

It's there. I don't remember which group it's under though.
