Photobox have an offer at the moment for their poster sized prints - 2 for 1 - I am looking to print some of my 'shocked chicken' series for my son's bedroom walls and wondered if anyone had any experience of their quality?
Also, what are the views on using the 'Pro Poster Prints' rather than the normal 'Poster Prints' - do they look twice as good (they cost twice as much and I am sure the old adage, you get what you pay for must be true.). Thanks Tom

Gratuitous bump - really could do with some help guys...
The 2 for 1 offer is now over, but appreciate any advice on quality of Photobox or if you recommend a different site. I'm looking for A2 sized prints. Tom |

I used to be a big fan of photobox and would have recommended them. However they had a really bad site redesign a couple of years ago which still seems to put flashy graphics above functionality. I've also had to have more than an average number of items redone where they have messed up. That said, when you have a finished print the quality isn't too bad and the price is pretty cheap.
As for alternatives, for canvas prints/perspex etc. I can recommend Point 101: Photos on Canvas, Giclee Prints, Canvas Prints » from £7 » Point101 For normal prints & posters I've heard Loxley are pretty good and used by quite a few pros. Their site & upload software isn't the best but for posters they are actually cheaper than photobox. I've only got the 2009 pricelist to hand but 1 A2 print from Loxley is £9.56 vs £12.49 at Photobox. Loxley Colour - Imaging for Professionals
