Default Help with on line Course

Has anyone heard or taken this on line course?

universal class Photography 101.

I am a very new beginner to digital photography. I just signed up on this site so I could learn.

I am a trucker and not home much. So I will mostly be self taught which will be the hard way to go.

Thanks for any help.

Charlie

Hi Charlie, welcome to DPS.

I can't help you regarding the course I'm afraid but I wouldn't worry too much about learning by yourself, being a member here you have a whole community at hand to help you. If you have access to the internet on your travels there is a whole wealth of information in the tips, tutorials and forums and you'll be amazed at how quick it is to pick things up.

I checked out your picture and it's definitely a good start but I would suggest you check out the tips on composition to help you frame your shots to make them more pleasing to the eye.
One thing you definitely should think about is using Snapfish. I noticed when I looked at your picture all I had to do was sign on for a free account and I can have a copy of your picture to print or whatever I want. You might want to look at a site that doesn't give your shots away for free.

Good luck.

Henry made some good points.

One thing I would add is this: how much does it cost? That's a major factor for me. Like Henry, I've never heard of it, but that doesn't mean it's no good. But ask yourself, do you need to take that now, or are you looking at it because you just started looking into things?

I ask that because there are literally millions of free websites and forums (like DPS) can can really help you get started. THEN, once you've learned a bit, you'll better know what you need, then you can better choose a course to take. Is there any rush, or can you take that class next time or, say in 6 months after you see what out here on the WWW?

Good luck!
