Default Your camera takes great photos experiment

A friend of mine did a photo experiment about this statement and blogged it.. Thought I would share! She gave her camera on auto to her brother, and let him take photos of a girl... then took the same girl, same location, same day same time and shot some.....

Fantastic blog post! I don't suppose she'd mind if I linked it in my blog?

Funny story to go along...an acquaintance of mine was looking at some of my photos and asked me what kind of camera I had. I told her I use a Canon XSi. She then said, "Hmm, my husband and I bought a D90, maybe we should switch to Canon, our pictures don't look like yours."

LOL!

Great post, once again we're reminded that photography goes beyond the camera+gear. The experiment was a good idea as well IMHO, and the photo examples are the cherry on the top.

Thanks for sharing

Could've handed the camera set to manual to the non-pro. Just to see what would've happened.

Anyways... fun poke at the peeps who keep that phrase alive. :P

Her brother seems to have a compulsion to make trees grow out of little girls' heads.

Cool beans! I figured she wouldn't mind more traffic being sent to her blog.

Dang, people are linking this everywhere! Erin's blog is gonna go viral, I'm seeing links all over the place! I fanned her on Facebook, too.
