Default How to host a video everyone can see?

I've made a video of my ordering process and host it on my site.

The problem is not everyone can view it. How can I embed it in a page that everyone can play regardless of platform, browser, etc?

Right now, it runs in Quicktime: http://www.jimpoor.com/ordering.mov

Convert it to Flash. Everyone has the flash plugin.

Then again, my clients that order from iPhone, etc are probably web-wise enough to not need the video in the first place.

You can find a MOV to SWF converter online. Then, just post the .swf file just like you would the .mov file...

That's some reverb you've got going there

Converting to flash would seem to be the way to go, although for some reason Apple doesn't have flash support for its iPad. Well done Apple, well done.

For embedding flash: http://www.free-video-hosting.net/embed-flash.php

Embedding the mov file (if you want to keep that format as well): http://www.jakeludington.com/project...ktime_mov.html

You might want to look at using HTML5's video capabilities, with a degradation to flash for non-supported platforms. To the best of my knowledge, the Apple mobile devices are HTML5 compliant, so they could play the video that way. Firefox 3.5+ I think understands the HTML5 video system.

You might have to convert the Quicktime to a couple different formats (H.264/Flash), but serving everyone isn't always easy.

upload the video to you tube and embed it from there no muss no fuss, and no flash , plus maybe some extra exposure..

Aye, that's what I read.

Could be an idea to embed the video in its current state and offer links underneath to different formats in case the user can't display it.
