Default Photoshop CS4 Book - please advice

Hi all. Don't know if this is the place for it but would love some advice on buying a photoshop CS4 book. There are so many, and thought some of you might know which is best! I know the basics but would like to learn about workflow, black and white editing, and other editing techniques that I see done here etc.

Thanks.
Maria

I don't really think this is the right place in the forums for this but...I wouldn't buy a book. Search the net for tutorials on the subject you want to learn more about and check out the hobby section of your local library they will likely have all the PhotoShop books you can dream of. If, while exploring the books at your library, you find one you just can't live without, then buy it.

As someone who just made the jump from Photoshop 7 to CS4 (it's like being an infant and going from rolling around on the floor to riding a bicycle with no in-between). I was also looking for books, since all the tutorials I found are *video* and I can't view video at work (during the down time; and we won't get into my personal opinion of everything moving to *video*), and can't save video to have handy in case my internet fails.

I just picked up CS4 for Dummies, and it's actually been pretty helpful. I picked it up at Fry's for like $20 (since I needed something right away, and Half-Price Books didn't have a copy handy), but I'm sure you can find it online for considerably less (Half.com & Ebay come to mind).

I also think so.
