Smile Shooting video with canon 40d
Hi All,

I just wanted to share with you guys a really interesting thing about a mini documentary i shot last weekend, about 2 unsigned music artists. I shot the entire thing on a Canon 40d, via tethering the camera to my laptop, just goes to show you don't really need a 5 or 7d to shoot decent video!!!! the video is 8 minutes long, feel free to take a look! I used the 18-55 3.5-5.6 and the 50mm 1.8II on this video:

well theres a program called eos_movrec, which uses the camera's liveview function to capture the images from the camera, the downside is you have to remain tethered to the laptop, but streams from the camera in HD quality & uncompressed

Urgh... I guess I have to install Windows on my netbook after all since the damn EOS Utility refuses to work with Ubuntu. -.-

ahhh ubuntu.... yeah ive heard issues with the eos utility with that... not sure about windows, but i did this on mac
