Hi All,
There's going to be Photography Competition in my organization and we have to submit our snaps on any theme/subject. I have taken some travel, kids snaps and would like to know your opinion on which ones to submit. One can submit as many pics as one wants. The rules say that the snaps should not have major editing and they can not be portfolio/commercial snaps. Rest all are allowed. I have sone minor adjustments to some of the snaps i.e. playing with levels, curves, conversion to B&W/Sepia, boosting brigthness/contrast in photoshop. I would like to know your opinion on which snaps to submit. The snaps are at Picasa Web Albums - Nimish - competition I am not a professional photographer and I guess no one in our organization is. We all are hobbyists. I welcome your feedback. Thanks. |

Is it that easy to know the difference between a well exposed / configured photo and one with alot of editing? Ok adding Lomo effects (unless you have a Lomo camera) might raise suspicions, however is it really possible to say whether a photo has been highly edited or was a very good photo in the first place and just lightly edited? P.S. the second one! |

Yep - #2 for me also. Mind you, I keep being drawn back to #9 and #11.
That's what makes an image good in my book - I can look at an image once and be of the opinion that it's a good image, but I much prefer it when I keep going back to look at the same image several times. Russ,
