Default Canon shows concept camera of the future

Recently Canon unveiled a prototype camera that is expected to be in production in about 20 years.

Among other things the camera will have an integrated single lens with a focal length from macro to 500mm, the ability to shoot ultra HD video and extract single HD images out of the video (with enough resolution to produce high quality large prints)

Portraying the digital still camera as an endangered species has been a popular pastime for years in the cellphone industry...
The author's opening sentence pretty much explains it all. He has no clue about real photography. Yeah, cell phones can take great pictures these days. But they're in no danger of killing off traditional cameras anytime soon.

It's clear that the traditional digital still camera will face as much -- if not more -- pressure from the high-end camcorder as it will from the cameraphone.
It's clear? To whom? Again, just one of many quips that this guy has no clue what he's talking about and is just another gadget junkie who hoards iPhone apps and calls himself an expert on technology.
