Default Weddng Photography - Charging

What's is a "resaonable" charge range [upper and lower] for just an "on the day" wedding photographer. Obviously the upper limit would need to have justification for the expense. However by reasonable, would it have alarm bells ringing if a photographer charged what would seemingly be a small amount (say £700 / $1100)

Thoughts?

Default charging is always difficult when customers want it at a low cost

I would suggest you have a structured price ie an amount you want to make per hour and then talk to the clients as to what it is they are expecting and build the package around that. Having this in place would make it sure that you dont go below a set price that could mean your out of pocket or earnings are low for the service.

THIS is where I learned to price my weddings. This lady knows what she's doing and did a great job at writing the book. Honestly, I think this book should be a must have for any photographer that is having a hard time pricing weddings.
