Post his death may help others ...




in dec 09 i lost my husband to leukemia after a year long battle ... in sept 09 he had a bone marrow transplant and we documented our journey and i have posted the images here

to make a long story short New York Times has contacted me to run one of our images to support a good cause ... after all his death may help others to fight for their life!

I agree, how wonderful to share your experience so that it may help others I am so very sorry for your loss. I don't even know how I would handle myself in such a situation. Your pictures are phenomenal though, they really capture the strong emotions beautifully.

its been a journey for me to "recover" but as i take it one day at a time and have plenty creative outlets to deal with the pain (and hopefully it all will benefit others in the long run) i just try to enjoy what life has given me ... thank you all for the kind words!
