Default Happy Days ahead!

Picking up my new 7.10 surfboard tomorrow afternoon, big brown truck will be delivering my very first 3rd party lens on Monday......Tokina 12-24. I lost sleep over buying this lens, I'm hard core Nikon, but I've read, and talked to a lot of people saying it was a better lens. I did buy a Nikon 77mm lens cap. Several did complain that the Tokina cap didn't fit well, and replaced it with a Nikon cap.

New board bag will be in the end of next week.

Got talked into shooting a wedding, and reception on the 24th. The wedding is super small with only immediate family, and the reception is somewhere at the church. Zero rules on where, and how I can shoot. Big plus is I don't have to wear a damn suit. She said I could wear jean, and a t shirt, but I'll still dress nice.

Plus I just got 2 30 pound boxes of ammo yesterday!

I like stuff that's cool!

You'll have to let us know how you like the lens.
But more important..ammo? some 7.62 battle packs perhaps?

I had the 12-24 for almost 2 years now. It rawks.
I got the older version with the screw AF pinhole.
The newer AF-S version is way faster.

I got another two, 1,000 round boxes. They come in 20 round individual boxes. If you buy the 680 round packs, they come in a sealed tin.

I also got the older version. Both my bodies have built in focus motors, and I didn't think getting the newer one was worth $200 more.

Sounds like my kind of fun!
I am amazed that you can buy that volume of large calibre ammo. We have been heavily restricted, no more than 100 rounds at any one time.... but then again we cannot own semi/auto rifles of any kind any more, only bolt action rifles.

I have to say I'm stoked on your new board! And a nice bag to keep it safe.

I've had the wide angle lens for a few months now, very fun! Enjoy
