Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum (1st post). I am going to Everest base camp on an 18 day trek leaving melbourne Dec 29th 2010. I was going to take my Pentax K10D digital SLR (with 18-55 & 70-200 Pentax lenses). I am concerned about the lack of battery charging points along the route (very few and far between), as well as the temperature (b/w average max 3 degrees to minus 20 degrees at 5000meters at that time). Has anyone done it with this type of gear? Or should I abandon this gear and take a smaller point & shoot digital, using standard batteries? Any help is appreciated. Cheers. |

you can get a solar powered charging mat that rolls up and can be stored rather conveniently.
