Free for personal use only...

So i was wondering if i have this correct.
I have been downloading some fonts and i noticed they are free for personal use only. I want to start branding my images. I'm just starting out in photography, not intending to start a business or anything major like that.
But would love to put them up on a website. Would that be okay?

Also to, oneday i would love to do my own thing in photography like charge ppl. would that still be allowed to use other ppls fonts on my work?? Or would that be consider commercial use. Sorry i'm just confuse.

It would be considered commercial use, but only in the very very strictest sense. However, the more general sense is that the creators dont want their "free" fonts used for large ad campaigns, big-brand logos, etc.

You'll be fine with them.

i got a font from DeviantArt... it said for personl use only.

i contacted the guy, offered to buy him a DeviantArt membership in exchange for being able to use it for my business.

he said i can use it free of charge.
(how nice of him)

so just ask and you'll probably get a favourable response.. if you really like it offer them something.
