Default Newbie Photographer

Hey all,
My name is Ruben and I'm just getting started with learning photography and post processing with Photoshop / Camera Raw. I've already run into a ton of links and videos to help me learn and progress my skills. Are there any links or videos you guys would recommend for a beginner?

Welcome. For a star if you are looking for something go to "search" in DPS and try there.

The first thing you need to learn about PP (that's post processing) your shots is the histogram, cameras can only record a limited range of light, adjust your photos so that they are using the maximum range, from 0 to 255.

Start with histogram adjustments, just do that to your images and only that, soon enough you will realise that doing just that is not quite enough. When you have a photo that you know can be made better but histogram adjustment is not quite enough then post here and ask what else can be done to make it better.

If you try and learn too much too fast you will be overloaded.
