Default White balance speeding

As mentioned in a "How I took it"-thread, the sun and me are not cooperating these days. Last night I heard rumors about an old plane landing at the airport. So I drove there to take some pictures of it. It was mostly cloudy, so the lighting was pretty even. While I was shooting, I found that I had forgotten to bring my new white balancing tool (CB Lens). I was eager to try it out, so I decided to set my white balance when I came back home. While driving I noticed that there was a hole in the sky and the sun would shortly break through. I had no time to waste, so I drove faster. Way too fast. I just had to measure the WB before the lighting conditions changed...

Still, I'm glad that I have a passion for photography again

Have YOU been white balance speeding lately?

I have to say that I don't really know what you mean by 'white balance speeding'. Could you elaborate a bit, because Google is bringing up zip.

I may use the term "speeding" in the wrong context here (I'm Norwegian), but what I meant is that I drove way faster than the speed limit just to measure my white balance before the lighting conditions changed completely.

But I'm glad I have created a new term, if Google returned zero matches

Oooh, I get you. My mind was leaning that way, but it didn't quite get there.

I tend to shoot in RAW, so I'm never really too bothered about getting it right at the time as I can just do it later. No speeding for me!

I shoot RAW myself, but still I use more time than necessary to find the perfect temperature and tint. The CB Lens tool is supposed to fix that without trouble

Nice to hear from you again too! WB correction gel on you sickday? Sound like something you must buy at the pharmacy, haha.

My rear license holder says, "Faster than a speeding ticket". I'm a light chaser

Light chasers should have a magnetic rotating camera body they could put on their car roofs in case they need to chase the light.
