Default Flickr Photo Page Makeover

In case you haven't seen yet, today Flickr has released a preview version of the new photo page. The photos are now 640px on the longest side, maps are much more prominent, and the page generally makes better use of the page.

You can read more about it here or here.

You can opt in here.

And you can give Flickr your feedback here.

The other really good thing is that they now offer the html for a 640 maximum side, which is perfect for the forums here!

It's pretty nice. So far I'm liking it.

Just saw it today, it will take a while getting used to it, but it looks good.

I love it! It used to take for ever for my contacts pics to load. Now I can scroll through with the slideshow view and make favs, and make comments much easier! That was the main reason I didn't make many comments before.

I really like it but I don't care for the 1 - 5 bread crumb thing at the top of the pictures now.

You can click the X in the upper right of the box to get rid of the 1-5 breadcrumbs... though I really like #5

I'm generally liking it - useful to be able to navigate through people's streams via the arrow keys (a la facebook). Would prefer the photo title to be above the image though.

I don't think that will display on the final deal. It's just a way to show you how to navigate around the new look.

No, you can't.

I like it, especially as noted the 640 px size option.
