O hai, iz 2005?
It's how people started typing on the internet, games and forums etc, due to spelling issues, time saving and general bad grammar. The language was then parodied and further popularised by the LOLcat memes. /-\N0t|-|3r $i/\/\Il/-\r p|-|3N0/\/\3n0N \/\/@5 L3e7 5P3/-\K, ph33R |\/|y l33t!

Believe it or not, lolcats are still popular.
LolSpeak was the language that was created for the lolcats to speak. Think bad grammar, spelling mistakes, etc. OHAI is, quite literally, "Oh, Hi", usually followed by "THAR!!" (there). If you cant figure out what someone is saying, say it out loud. It'll help.

I was gonna reply but I just got sidetracked by DarkReavers FlickR and can't remember what I was going to say.......
It was the pic of Whitley Bay that did me, so soon after the spooky cat and the Satanic goat. (Very Sweet Pic of the Lighthouse BTW).

Yeppers, everyone before me pretty much covered it all.
The lolspeak is anything that has to do with gaming, forum, sms chats...quick and easy for teenagers mostly...That is their language. So anything that has numbers in the words like 4ever, l8ter or things such as LOL, LMAO, BRB etc. (even WTF is considered lolspeak )
