Default Trying not to get a big head here...

.... But when the editor of the countries (world?) longest running and oldest car magazine says the photo/writing assignment I just did for him was quote, "perfect" and "really nice"... it's kinda hard not to be a little bit psyched up.

If you don't want a big head...

When someone does work for less than the going rate, the person paying for the work will greatly encourage them even when the work barely meets standards. This keps the worker coming back and continuing to do the work for little money plus praise.

Not saying this is what happened here, but imagine how effusive he'd be if you worked for free.

Thankfully this isn't the case.

I've worked freelance for other magazines and he's paying me the going standard rate plus a little bit extra. So, at this point it's about the quality of my work, not the money he's saving

So..... wouldn't that fact make my head even bigger?
