Default Need Help Uploading Photos...

I am trying to make some albums on my profile and I can create the album but when I try and upload the photos, they never upload... the website just "thinks and thinks" and after 10 minutes, nothing has happened. Is there an easier way or a different way? I tried Safari and Firefox and I couldn't get either to work.

How large are the files you are trying to upload? If they are much larger than what the uploader allows, it will try to resize the file for you. If it is too big, it will take a long time. Your best bet would be to resize the file yourself below the 734kb max. It will be a lot faster.

If you are on a Windows machine, and I am assuming you are not using any dedicated software like, Lightroom or Photoshop, etc... the easiest way I can think of would be to open them in the picture manager. It should have a resize tab on the right of the screen when you hit edit. There may be even a "save for web" option that may be available. Make a copy of the file to edit though. Don't edit the original. You will never get it back.

Ok... well I figured out how to resize it. It looks fine on my computer, but when it's done uploading into the album, the picture is messed up.

Are you getting those nice gray bars that are cutting your image in to sections? That has been an off and on problem with this site lately. You may want to think about creating a flickr account, and link to DPS from there. That way you don't have to worry about resizing and all that jazz.

I'll do the flicker thing. It's making big fat green horizontal lines across all the pictures. Thanks so much for your help!
