Default Adobe InDesign CS4

Hello guys, Adobe InDesign CS4 won't let me click certain options. For example, I cannot click on the selection tool, I have to press V instead. I can, however, click and select other tools like the Text tool or the Pen tool. I also can't change stroke values with the mouse or click on the colored icon in the layers panel to drag an object to a different layer.

I've tried re-booting the computer but to no avail. I've also tried a different mouse with no luck either. I no longer have the disks for the software, otherwise I'd do an uninstall and re-install. Any ideas?

If you bought it legally, just call Adobe.

I looked through ID's preferences and didn't see anything that stuck out. You should post your question to the Adobe forums. You will likely get better and quicker answers there. Calling Adobe won't get you anywhere and thier only help sucks.

Hi, I am having the same issue with a newly-resolved CS5 copy. Did you ever resolve this?
