Default Slow Shutter Shoot-Out – 3 Slow Shutter Speed Techniques by Chas Elliott Read more:

In this article, i have a question...you can see the image in the link below

"In the picture here I had a friend sit perfectly still in a completely dark room. I set the shutter to be roughly the time it would take me to walk around his chair holding a candle (8 seconds). His face was entirely lit by candlelight. Since I was moving too quickly to get in the shot, all you see is the floating flame "

Wont the face become blurry, even if i am able to keep my camera steady while moving around the chair?

I think you misunderstand the directions, your camera would be mounted on a tripod and stationary in front of the person. You would be holding the candle and walking around the person.

No, if you keep moving there won't be enough light for you to register. Ever seen photos of car tail light trails at night? All you see is the line of light and the car itself is invisible. Same thing here.

Just be sure not to block the candle flame image from the camera at anytime or else the circular line will be broken. Always stay behind the flame. Now how to do this is a matter of dexterity.
