Post Fish Eye.

I am a bit new to photograpghy with a dSLR camera, I just recently purcahsed a Nikon D80, i got a nikkor 50mm 1.8 lens with it and then i purchased this fish eye attachment lens, Amazon.com: Opteka HD² 0.20X Professional Super AF Fisheye Lens for Nikon D40, D40x, D5000, D50, D60, D70, D70s, D80, D90, D100, D200, D300, & D700 Digital SLR: Camera & Photo

I put it onto my regular nikkor lens and tried it out, but i did not get what i was looking for, maybe it's because of my lens, most likely, but i am looking to take picture like this, Amazon.com: Opteka HD² 0.20X Professional Super AF Fisheye Lens for Nikon D40, D40x, D5000, D50, D60, D70, D70s, D80, D90, D100, D200, D300, & D700 Digital SLR

with the black outline and more oval shape, pictures.

Can someone help me out with how i can become capible of doing so?

Thank you. x

The adapters are usually quite terrible.

You probably need a wider lens. They don't say what lens was used to make those images. And most folks are probably using it on an 18-55 kit lens @18mm to get that kind of effect. On a 50mm, especially on a crop body, the fisheye effect is going to be much less pronounced.

And, as OS said, while these types of converters are fun (cheap) toys, they're not going to yield you great image quality. If you're serious about needing a fisheye, you may want to look into the Samyang/Opteka/Rokinon fisheye lens instead. It's manual focus, which is a PITA, but it's less than half the cost (<$300) of any other 'real' fisheye lens out there.
