Default Program to easily capture/cut and paste EXIF info??

I was wondering whether anyone uses a specific program/add on to capture EXIF / Metadata info for their photos for MAC? I can do the "get info" thing in iPhoto however you cannot cut and paste that - same as in PS. I must say Im still a bit of a Mac newb but I havent been able to find an easy way to find this info all in one place that I can cut and paste from?? Much <3 in advance

You're gonna hate me for this. I use exiftool on the Terminal command line. We oldschool UNIX geeks love that macs and OSX can do this.

exiftool -tagsFromFile sourcefile destinationfiles

Lets me copy over the EXIF from one file into multiple files.

Thanks guys. Inkista - no hate at all, I grew up on the whole c64 prompt stuff

As an aside I started a flikr account last night which makes it super easy to access EXIF (as you would all know)

The easiest option?

Good old Preview.app

Its right there on every Mac and used to open a million file types.

Open a RAW or JPEG and hit Commend + I - up pops and info palette with all the EXIF you could ever need.

iPhoto also displays the info and is installed by default on every Mac, but its not as quick as preview for just grabbing the EXIF and running.

Thanks Ben - without my Mac in front of me I think the reason I wasnt happy with the EXIF info in Preview was that it didnt tell you the ISO? I could be wrong about this though..

If you have a Flickr account that you upload photos to, you can copy and paste the EXIF from the "more properties" link on the photo page.
