Been there, done that! Needless to say, I failed miserably, lol.

Do you have a lens hood for the lens that's attached to your camera when you're doing this? I tried this with my macro lens and a 50mm lens a while ago. I popped the 50mm into the lens hood, then used 2 elastic hair ties crossed over (boy, that's hard to explain... as in, not over the glass, but the top of the band was on the left and the bottom on the right) and essentially just hooked them below the lens hood. The tension kept the reversed lens in place, and the lens hood provided an area that stuck out for me to keep the elastic bands in place.

This was going to be the last thread I checked before getting ready for bed and what you know....Indigo added me to the list. You made my first half of 2010 way better now. I won't be able to wipe this smile off my face for the next week.

Thank you very much. I'm smiling right now.

Just came back from an awesome vacation and found this. Thanks to you who mentioned me. I must say that each and every one of you are my favorites. And all for different reasons. Altho I have been doing this for a day or two (_) now I find that I still learn so much from each thread I open.

I would pretty much say ditto to all of those! They are the ones that take the time to help us newbies out and even mentor us a bit! I have claimed SusanH as my teacher, and she has gladly helped me out A TON!

AWWWWWWWW! Thank you, Allison, you just gave me a big ole' head. Hopefully I can guide you in the right direction.

I have to say Ruthie, Jim Bryant, Pat, and Vinnie (auto-focus) and his wife Cathy (fotokids) have all been wonderful mentors to me. Love and thanks to all of you! There is so much talent on this forum, but these few people have been ones to really help me get my start and I would not be where I am without them.
