Hi all
My son is having his first holy communion next sunday and I wanted to know what could be the best settings to use on my Canon EOS 1000D with 18-55mm IS lens when shooting outdoors as there will be a photographer taking pictures inside. I want toknow what settings to use outside as I would have the camera to someone else to take some pictures of us with my son. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thans

Settings for outdoor photography depend on so many factors that I doubt anybody will be able to answer this for you. If you're handing the camera off to someone else then (in my opinion) your best bet is to just throw it on auto.
