Default Home Studio

HI,
I would like to ask you all a question. am planning on building my own home studio but I am not sure weather or not I should have any widows installed. The room is going to be about 6m long x 3m wide.

It would be interesting to read a reply from a pro. I have a space a little larger than the one youre using and it has windows which I covered, but I'd have to answer that it would depend on the lighting effect you are trying to achieve. What kind of lighting will you be using if you dont install windows? I ask this because some photographers are big on using natural light for portraits and some use other forms of lighting.
For answers on lighting I'd suggest going to the lighting part of this forum where you can get all kinds of guides for how to set up your lighting. Maybe someone else can give you a better answer.

Depends if you to utilise natural light or not.

You could use blackout blinds when you don't want it coming in as well.

If I were building my own studio (I wish!) I'd most definitely put big floor-to-ceiling windows in, but leave myself the option to block window light if needed. I shoot both natural light and studio so I'd want the option of both. It's always easier to block window light then have to renovate and add windows later.

Hope this helps.
