Default Hate the new "Click Here To Share"

I really dislike this new black strip across the bottom of most photos that says Click Here To Share. Is there a way to disable this? Or is it here for good?

On the far right side of the 'share' tool bar there are two chevrons, click them to hide the tool bar.

But that does not disable the "click here to share" If you have Firefox as your browser you can get an add on "No Scripts" which will prevent it. I did not know this til I read the post in"The new wibya tool bar" by CiiVii

Um, Where? We certainly don't have anything on dPS that shares your images by default... (And I've banned scr.ipts) --Let me know. --Sime

Right - just noticed that tool bar down there ... Not sure where it's come from, must ask Darren.

It's nothing to worry about - - It's called Social Bookmarking. If you have a specific concern, please let me know via PM. Thanks

Sime

Mouseover any image that is embedded in a thread and you'll see it.

For those of you that are concerned with the SHARE that pops up on images, it's not for sharing the IMAGE - we won't share your images, it's for sharing the story / post / thread.. The most it will do is include a very small thumbnail with a link back to the post on dPS.

Like This.

If you're concerned that your images will be stolen, I can assure you that if you put an image on the web and someone wants it - they will find a way to take it (Yes, regardless if you turn off right click or embed your image in a flash show)

We won't share your images, just your story / work.

I hear ya, I'm trying to find out who turned it on (Darren is asleep and Support are not answering) I wasn't told about it and don't like it on the images, but can see why we need that bar down the bottom to tell people about dPS.

just adding my 2 cents, FWIW....

I understand, and don't mind the bar at the bottom (as long as DPS authorized it)...as long as we can minimize it, when we want.

rant
But the whole "Click Here To Share" thing, I feel, takes away from the images and really gets annoying when you are trying to admire a shot and the darn thing pops up because I got my mouse to close to the image....
/rant

just sayin,

Divot
