Does anyone use Quickbooks? What accounting software do you use? Any recommendation for me? Quickbooks doesn't have many good reviews...

You don't say if you want the financial software for your personal finances or a business. For personal, I've used Quicken (not QuickBooks) for years with no problems. Granted, I am using an old version (2005). I use the basic version--I haven't felt the need to pay more for tools I wouldn't use.

I work for a philanthropic foundation with assets of over $225 million, and we use QuickBooks with no problems. You have to know what you're doing to set up the accounts, and there are few opportunities for customization, but it works for us.

Hope this helps.

As MHart mentions, it depends on what you want to use it for. Personal? Business? Small business or large? Beyond that, it also depends on which country you're in.

I used MYOB, Simply Accounting, and Quickbooks more so than any other accounting software when I was in Canada. Simply Accounting (not sure if it's still around) was an absolute dog with file corruptions running rampant. MYOB and Quickbooks were pretty much on par - both easy to use, reliable, stable. Quickbooks was my preferred accounting package. And back in the day, it had multicurrency, which I believe the US version only just finally caught up to.

There are different Quickbooks packages for different countries and for differing levels of features required. Plus it's usually possible to get a demo disc good for a couple weeks or a month or something. I'd say give it and others a try and see what you like best and what best serves your needs.

I use quick books pro for my business. Its not a photography business so I'm not sure if that is what you are looking for. I have not had any issues with it. My biggest problem is Intuit tries to hold you hostage on constant updates you need to pay for.

Microsoft just (as in 3 days ago) released "Microsoft Money Plus Sunset Edition" as a free download - since they discontinued Microsoft Money & stopped supporting most of the online update options (ie, it won't autotically update your stock prices), they've stripped a lot of things out of it (and, honestly, it was all a bunch of stuff I never used to begin with), and left the basic functionality of Microsoft Money. You don't need to have used any of the Microsoft Money editions previously to use this.

I'd been fretting over what to replace my financial software with, since I was still using Money 2005, and I'd tried a few different ones, but I have 8+ years of financial data tucked into Money; this pretty much resolved that issue. And while I'm not the biggest Microsoft fan, this (at least for me) was a easy to set up & use.

I use In Flow software. Its free. Pretty much the same as Quick books. There are some limitations as always with free software but for me, I dont really mind. Its still generates reports. you can track your sales and purchases. In put your clients and vendors.
