I was contacted by some folks from Florida who have sunk in over a million dollars into opening a new gallery in Canon City. They want lil ol me to be the featured artist for their gallery. How flipping cool is that!!
This has been a long hard road for me but I have never ever given up on my dreams. Finally, with all the magazines, art galleries, museums, my loyal customers, phone books and everything else I am finally reaching my goals.

Sadly no. I haven't had anything written up professionally on my photography path.
I can pretty much tell you it has been a lot of hard work, sacrifices, and money. Marketing is the biggest thing. Never stop, be relentless. Find every avenue you can. Get your name out there. Enter shows, enter contest at galleries. Join a gallery. Submit your work to magazines, offer to to trades for advertising. Never stop learning how to do new things. Read, watch and practice. Even if you think you are good enough - you aren't. There is always room to grow and learn and be better. , I always knew this was what I wanted to do. I always always annoyed my family and friends with a flash in their face. All the time! That grew into finding other creative avenues. Which led to learning how to do post processing which in turn has led me to create my shots even better straight from the camera. Most of what I learned was from doing it myself. I cant tell you how many countless hours I have spent reading on how to do things. Talking to other photographers and joining groups to help me learn. One thing that has helped me more than anything is to stand close to my work at a show and listen to the comments made by the people looking at them. Yup, I've been crushed a time or two but I tell you that by listening to the public you'll learn a great deal!

Congratulations! It is easy to tell you feel great about this, as you SHOULD. Your work is freakin awesome and you deserve the recognition. It is great that all your hard work is paying off. Your success gives the rest of us aspiring artists some hope that if we work as hard at it as you do we too may one day reach our goals too.
All the best, Mike
