Default How many photos!?

I posted this question over on our Facebook Page

"I took 400 photos in this last week, how many did you take?"

So far, the people that have replied, in a week period, when added together, have taken 52,002 images... That's amazing when you think about it...

Let's do some rough stats...

Assume an average of 8MP - That's almost half a terrabyte

That's over 2000 rolls of film

Side by side that's... well, at an average of let's say 3240px wide (My old 8MP Canon Powershot Pro1) ...that's potentially one hell of a picture...

I find these numbers amazing, coming from a film background, looking at these numbers I guess that it's easier to understand why some people still just don't get digital...

you took 52,000 photos! are you insane?!

What are your thoughts?

Sime

I took over 7,000 covering three of the Mariners games last week.

I am still getting used to the amount of shots I can take at one time, having been a die hard film shooter for so long. I have taken 1000 pics since getting my camera the beginning of March. Nothing compared to you guys, but still a whole lot to me!

Good question, Sime.

I've averaged about 700 photos/month since getting my dSLR in October 2008.

I think the most I've taken in any one day is about 550 (when my daughter played in 4 lacrosse games).

Default amount

The most I took in 24 hrs was 2367 shots. I'd gone on a ghost tour and just keep snapping away. Other than that I'd say the next closest to that was at my Uncles wedding when I took 632 shots.

On a 6-month tour of Asia, I shot about 10,500 photos, so around 1700 a month.

Still sorting through them!!

I've taken around 120 in the last week, but the number of keepers is a much more modest figure!
