Default I just need some feed back

Hi guys! I’m at a point of frustration. I have a web site, I’m on facebook, I started a blog, but I don’t seem to be getting too much traffic. My web site is getting hits and I’ve gotten a few comments, but my blog has only one follower and I haven’t gotten any comments. I’m not quite sure what I’m doing wrong. I can see that I’m getting traffic, but no commitment. Can someone take a look and give me some feed back. I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks for your time.

I looked at your web site. One thing is you may want to check the color calibration on your monitor cause most of your photos have as strong pink hue to them.

To get people to your web site takes a lot of work and dedication. You must provide links to every single piece of communication you do.Blast it to everyone you know, over and over. Drive people to your web site on a constant basis. Ask your friends and customers to promote you.
Links to other web sites and to your will also create more hits.

Blogs have to be exciting, they have to make people want to read it every day. It has to make them excited about what may be coming up next. Does yours do that?

Facebook - I too have a Facebook page but use it for nothing else than to drive people to my web site. It gives them a tickle of what might be on the other side

starting a blog.. running it and getting alot of traffic takes ALOT of work... I mean ALOT.... and to be honest thats why I dont run my blog for other than pretty much family members...

it also takes money... money to get into searches and whatnot...

a tip would be to take a few of the blogs that you follow and ask them to advertise your blog in return... that would be a good step....
the same would go with the website...

facebooks a toughy as well.... you;ve got to have alot of friends... and then just start the "web" off and going....

its work.... patience and ... something different.... if people see the same things over and over again theres no reason for them to keep coming back ....

honestly, i thought your blog seemed a bit bland... the black background.. only a few photographs for a photography blog...
my opinion would be to find a photography blog you really like and take the best elements from there and incorporate....

the website itself is decent once you get into the galleries... i do like how you have the two looking the same but neither have the WOW factor that one needs to have

Good Luck and keep at it!

Default starting a blog

Yup........takes too much damn work. I try to post daily, but it's taking too much of my time, so I might drop back to once a week. I'd rather be out taking pictures instead of sitting behind the computer. One thing make them interesting........funny, cute, do something that will want draw folks to your blog. Read mine, they are humorous, interesting and not only do they give tips, but it's situations that I experienced in three decades of photojournalism.

SEO didn't cost me a dime and my site is on the front page of Google - took a long time, but didn't take any spending.

How did you manage that? You would've had to, at least, paid for the domain name.

The quickest way to up blog traffic is to make a point to visit lots of other blogs and comment daily. I used to have a pretty well followed blog (about 100-150 hits daily with 20 comments or so) and that was how I started. Once people get to know you, they add you to their rss feed and then they don't have to check daily but they'll be able to get a notification of new posts.
