What’s Your Preference?

I'm very new to this forum as my post count can testify to I'm sure. I'm a technology trainer and I'm always being asked for good resources for taking better digital photographs and that is how I found this site. Amazing resources without doubt! One thing that I was looking for in particular however I cannot seem to find. That is a good resource that explains resolution in easy to understand terms. I think I need this for myself as much as for those that I work with. My understanding of resolution is on a more technical level and I have an extremely tough time relating that in terms that general users can grasp. If you've ever tried to explain resolution (or file sizes for that matter) to digital visitors (as opposed to natives that just accept things) you know exactly what I mean.

So, if you have a resource that you could point me toward that would be fantastic. I'm always sure to site all my sources for my students so they can get more information than I can relay in an evening. That and it's the right thing to do.
