Boooo! Weddings are a blast! I love shooting weddings. I can't wait for my next one on June 13th. It'll be my first wedding with a full-frame camera...oh, I can't wait!

Did you at least find out the fee, before saying "no."

Nope, sure didn't. Now, if there had been dogs in the ceremony, maybe

I looked at your portfolio, I'm pretty sure you can do a pretty good job. You probably have most of the right equipment already.

I'm with him. You could have done a great job! I don't know why you said no, you would have been great!

There is so much more to wedding photography than having the right skills & equipment for low-light work.

Posing humans, making albums, etc

I have no more business shooting a wedding than a wedding photographer has trying to shoot dogs running 30mph in the dark venues I specialize in.

I actually think shooting dogs running that fast in the dark is much harder.

Jim, I have to tell you how enlightening you are! I'm sure you are fully capable of "pulling it off" but just pulling it off isnt good enough. This is a once in a life time moment for a couple. The shots must be spot on and the processing flawless. It takes experience to pull off a wedding and have the photos look professional. For a photographer to recognize that they may not be able to do the job to the fullest is commendable in my book. My hat goes off to you.
