Default Anyone know about this?

I just started taking photography classes today...And I'm kind of struggling...So these are my questions is I just taking all of the pictures that I could, is it now safe for me to take out the film and to place it in a zip lock bag or does it have to be in a place where light won't get to it? What are some techniques that I should know about? Any good sites that'll help a beginner like me?

After exposing all the film, it should be wound back to the canister either automatically by the camera or manually by yourself by using the pull out lever. The canister with film can now be safely taken out of the camera. Using a manual film advance can sometimes accidentally pull out the spool of film from the cannister. In this case, the film should be removed manually from the camera by using a light protected bag. You can store the film inside the black plastic container (Fuji uses transparent plastic, so don't use that!) and send it off to the lab. Any light hitting the film will make it fogged, or worst, washed out.

I think you should open your camera to take out the film only when there is no light.. as light can damage the film and you may loose all your hard work.
