Some newbie forum help please?

new to the forum here and i have no idea where to ask the questions lol...

Why are my images that i post showing as thumbnails? I have seen in some of the other threads that they are not.

upload as an attachment will result in a thumbnail, embed img link from flicker/photobucket etal will end up as a picture in the post. There are size limitations to be aware of...check out the sticky thread topics that explain it all

If you're doing the image as an attachment, they always only show up as thumbnails, unless you explicitly put the uploaded image's URL in the post surrounded by the [img] and [/img] tags. If you do that you'll get both the image, and the thumbnail at the bottom of the post.

A lot of people here aren't using the attachment feature, but are posting using the URLs directly from a photosharing website, like Flickr. You may want to check out the "Posting Images" FAQ.
