One of the greatest honors an artist can have is to have their art work hanging on a wall. Having someone like /love what you have created enough to purchase it and hang it in a place where it will be gazed upon is truly an honor.
But, when you have 2 work re known artists purchase your work it is an honor that blows the whole roof off!
Last Friday was the end of a show and 2 very famous artists, Carol Bourdo and Robert Buckner purchased some of my pieces. Both are painters and both command sometimes tens of thousands of dollars on their works. Mr. Buckner has several galleries and has invited me to visit and show in them. New York, Taos and Laveta. I was thrilled when Mr. Buckner told me that he is never drawn to photography but mine had him very intrigued. He took the tome to ask me about my techniques and what brings me inspiration. I could hardly talk I was so awe struck.
I'm so excited and had to share my good news with you all!

He purchased my Fairy Goddess one and she purchased an old truck photo.
Both seemed so out of the norm for them as they both do mostly south western art.

Anyone who has studied the history of art and photography knows of the long and difficult road photographers traveled to be taken seriously as artists. Even today it is a special honor when an accomplished artist recognizes the talents of a fellow artist who happens to weild a camera rather than a brush or chisel. As one great photogher put it, "I'll just keep doing what I'm doing and wait for the artists to call me 'brother.'" Or in your case 'sister.' Well done, Michelle, your work has honored us all.
