I'm just reposting this from the "Photography" interest forum on my work's Intranet (I work for the Environment Agency):
"Hi A friend of mine is senior lecturer in biology at Gloucestershire University and has just launched a national project to track the distribution of bees across the UK. I am trying to get him as much exposure as possible to help provide a large dataset. So if you are interested at all - all it involves is uploading photos of bees to flickr and geotagging them - then please check out the links below; Global Bee Project Bee ID Project Also, please forward on the details to anyone you think may be interested. Cheers! Gareth" If you're out and about and fancy taking photos of bees (I haven't checked the links, but I'm assuming it's all kinds of bees, not just honey bees), then give the guy a helping hand with a couple of geotagged shots. Remember to be careful though - don't go poking hives with a stick to get the bees to come out and pose for you... ![]() Russ.
