YES! Just yesterday my husband asked me if I had told a group they could use my photo on there flyers... NOPE! But my fault for putting in on facebook and for not putting my name on it. Friends will do it faster than anyone in my experience!

Yeah, that sharing of photos to people you don't know is not a very cool option on FB. They should add a prompt or something saying "Hey! such and such shared your photo. Do you want to give them perm to do that?" That would make more sense to me!

Yuppers - hence the reason a big fat watermark gets slapped on every image I post online.

lol, or during a photo shoot the rest of the family or friends get their cameras out and start taking pictures of the poses you just set up!

One of my photos of Metallica was being used to promote the Metallica concert in Minnesota via Facebook... Needless to say I changed my photo permissions very quickly.

Yes, I had. It happened on Facebook, where I published some pictures from school concert, and one of my friends took my picture and posted it on his profile, congratulating the person that was on that picture. Since then, I don't post any of my new pictures on Facebook.

Not the same but i've been accused of stealing my own photo off google...

Apparently it was too good to be my own...

It works both ways!

Yep, someone has re-posted a photo that I took as his own, on Flickr. I mailed Yahoo! about this copyright infringement, and they've taken it down. No idea what happened to the chap that stole it in the first place.

The silly thing is that my copyright notice was still on the photo and in the EXIF and IPTC information.

So do you guys put watermarks on even your Facebook/flicker photos? I was thinking of doing that, but kinda felt silly since im not that great yet... but I have already had a photo used w/o permission so now im rethinking it!
