Used Canon | Super Telephoto 1200mm f/5.6L EF USM | 2527A001
I almost fell off my chair when I saw this! I did not know lenses got that expensive, well at least ones that are not attached to something at NASA! Wow.

I'm curious as to why there are 6 different coloured/patterned lens sleeves available for this 1200mm lens. (I like the digital camo one - that will help you and your 1200mm lens blend into the crowd
)How many units did Canon actually make?

It's actually unknown how many 1200mm's Canon made - it's estimated around 19-21.
It was always a 'order, then we'll make it' thing, so there are exclusive cases (different to the coats, though). What's cool is that it comes with it's own, really tough tripod. I obviously know about the B&H listing, but for fun just then, just calculated shipping - 2200 USD to ship here. Last edited by FrankLamont; 04-21-2010 at 09:36 PM. |

Just figure the aperture on this.
1200mm/5.6 = 214mm. Yes kids, that means this thing's maximum aperture has a diameter larger than most telephoto lenses.
