Suggestions for photoshoot

I need some suggestions on what to shoot.
I have to take some photos that will be rated and critised and if they make it they will be selected for the annual beginner's photo exhibition in my country.

Problem is i don't find anything inspiring to shot at, i don't want to shot something usual such as a child, cat, people walking, i need something more artistic but am running out of ideas. Any help will be appreciated

Front doors. Doors are a simple metaphor for a lot of different things and in any given town there are lots of varieties. With a bit of creativity you can come up with a wide variety of shots; some with just the door, some with a bit more, some focused on just one aspect of the door, like the knob or the knocker. Windows have similar potential in some towns, but I find doors to be a powerful but often overlooked opportunity.

I did that one day. Just went out to shoot doors. Found some really nice ones too.
