Technical difficulties posting/uploading my Avatar....

Hi everyone! I'm not sure if this is the correct thread to post this, but I seem to be having a hard time uploading/linking to an avatar. I think I'm doing everything right (including cutting the photo down to the correct size, # of pixels before upload, etc), I've even tried different formats like .jpg vs. bmp. but the image does not appear. Please help!

I'll see if we can get you an answer Kay. I even tried re-doing your avatar myself and it didn't seem to work. But I can see it in all the behind the scenes part of the site, so it is there. So I'll see if there's any other answer.

Kay, It's going to be because you have a smiley in your username - I've seen this before I'm afraid.

If you like, think of a different username and let me know - I'll sort the rest.

So what's the deal with the smiley face interference? Does it mess up the code or something?

DB doesn't like strange "non letter" entries... and breaks the associations between the user account and the location the users items (profile pic / post count etc) are stored...
