Default PP or PS?

I've seen people write PP and PS, both seemingly referring to photoshop.
I was just wondering which one is correct. It would seem that PS is but I see PP far more often.
If any one knows please tell me!!! *very confused*

PP refers to post production regardless of the tool used. It could be Photoshop, Lightroom, GIMP or any other post production program. PS refers to PhotoShop specifically. Hopefully that helped!

Oh, I see, "post production".
What confused me was that sometimes I see things like "I like what you did in PP" which lead me to believe PP was more specific. Or when someone asks for critique on an image that they've played with in photoshop and the critiquers use PP instead of PS, like "Nice shot but what you've done in PP looks a little fake" That kind of stuff just adds to the confusion.

Thanks for clearing that up for me Zannie!
