Default Is It Weird?

Does anyone think it's weird to post a visitor message saying happy birthday to a complete stranger?
I've never thought about it till today but it seems like something a lot of people do.
I guess why else would there be "today's birthdays" at the bottom of the forums page........
Hmmm, never thought about it before......

I don't think it's weird if you've had two-way convo with the person a time or two. Just some random person though? Yeah.

Nope. It's the internet. Even if you chat with someone online, you never really know them. SusanH wished me one last year when we didn't know eachother at all (we do a little better now), leonaashlee, Digidave and you yourself artofindigo all wished me happy birthday yesterday.

It would be weird if more strangers wished me happy birthday than people I know.

Yeah, I personally don't think it's weird. I just wanted to make sure no one thinks I'm weird for doing it!!
Even if people do think I'm weird I'm just going to go on wishing random people a happy birthday......... So there! Ha ha!

EDIT: I've thought about it a little more and I've decided that I wouldn't leave a happy birthday message for someone who, a. hasn't logged on in the last few months, or b. has less than 10 posts. I think that would be weird.

Not at all irregular... I recently had a birthday. I work at a warehouse, and within a span of about 10 minutes, I had "Happy Birthday" coming from every person in the warehouse (even people I didn't know) over the intercom. I had customers coming by and wishing me happy birthday during the whole ordeal!

I think that it's great and not weird at all. It's always nice to get messages like that, regardless of who sends them.
