Default I'm Officially The Stupidest Person On Earth

I bought an ipod yesterday, synched all my my music to it and then discovered that the earphones didn't work. So today I went and exchanged it for a new one. When I got home I tried out the earphones and......they didn't work!!!!! I then discovered that I had only plugged them in halfway.

The only good that has come out of my great stupidity is that when I went to exchange it they had gotten more of the color I really wanted. So, all's well that that ends well (even if I am incredibly stupid )

I did something similar once with my iphone. I bought one of those clear plastic sheets to go over the screen to protect it. It was a generic kind so it wasn't specifically made for the iphone. You had to cut it to size. shortly after putting it on I dropped the phone. After that the sound was really low when I tried to make a phone call. I tried everything to fix it. Nothing worked. I made an appointment at the apple store to have it checked out. The man listened to my story and then peeled off the plastic sheet. It worked fine. Apparently there was no hole cut for the earpiece. I felt just as stupid as you did. We all have those moments. unfortunatly, I seem to have them more than others.

+ 1 over here.
I am pretty savy when it comes to gadgets and I once spent 3 hours trying to get my ADSL line working only to discover I had not completely inserted the CAT 5 cable into the wall jack.

My response to the operator - "just leave it with me to play with and if I don't get a solution I will call you back" CLICK, down went the phone incase flushed red cheeks could be transmitted over a phone line

I once forgot to take off the little, protective plastic strip that came with a new HP color print cartridge for my home printer. Took me a few days to figure out why I no longer print in color.

Could have been worse, you could have taken some very important pictures -- with the memory card only pushed halfway in

No I'm the stupidest! This isn't technical but once I got my car stuck in the snow and a transit van full of burley builders turned up with some rope to pull me out. One of them attached the rope to my car and the rope kept snapping and we were just wheel spinning and getting nowhere. Everyone was like until one of the guys poked his head through my car window and said "You've got your handbrake on!". Like Duh!

My sister is worse than me. She once went into the Bingo hall and asked what time the film starts. The lady in the kiosk was like "What??" and my sis said "This is a cinema right?"

My sister has been to university and has a degree!

A friend of mine complained her new Toshiba laptop had very low sound volume... She adjusted all the icons to full blast. She was about to return the new gadget when I pointed out to her the main volume wheel was underneath the front of the keyboard. Thanks for the practical joke, Toshiba!

I previously worked on a help desk for a television production company... In seven years I really did have a person call up and ask "Where is the any key" and I had someone feed a t-shirt into a brand new colour laser printer to print a label on it - it caught fire.
