I have really stupid questions, but...

I have really stupid questions, but...yes, i really would like to know the answer. we do have the so called 'high contrast image' dont we? so far i find myself fond of high contrast, but i often find images which are of low contrast, which is the opposite of the high contrast image.
Now, my stupid questions are (pardon me for asking i just cant help asking it):

1. can we call it 'low contrast image' since its the opposite of a 'high contrast image'? or do we have a specific name for that?

2. are the terms 'high key' and 'low key' suitable to be applied in monochrome photography too? or are they just for colour photography?

yes a flat image.

High key and low key images apply to black and white photography as well.

1: Flat images are flat images, but generally low contrast is bad. Do you have an example of a "low contrast" image?

2: High and Low key are predominantly used in monochrome images, but can also be done with colour.

so far, i dont have any that i can upload, but maybe i can describe it like this

an image that doesnt contain much white point in it but is not supposed to be a low key image. the black point is also weak. sorry if i cant describe it clearly, ill try to find an image that i can post later.
