I came across this about a week ago and it seems legit.
JitZul offers free websites to artists (musician, painter, photographer, actor, author, etc.)
No ads, or so they say. They work with you to make a website that completely fits your needs. I applied and got accepted, they were very nice.

Right now they have a waiting list that extends all the way into May, but if you're willing to wait it seems like a very good opportunity.

thanks for sharing, i might try that. im thinking of having my own website but i dont know much about building a website, so i dont know, ill just try.
