Default This is driving me craaaazy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can anyone answer this question, it's driving me crazy!

So, I know that the titles "new member", "member" and "senior member" under a person's username have to do with how many posts a person has made but what about "point and shoot". I'm sure someone knows, so, if anyone out there wants to share their wisdom I'd be very grateful!

This one has really got me wondering.....

At one time the "titles" were different "levels" of camera. It was changed to the current scheme precisely because too many questions like yours came up.

Hehe, I can see why they changed it, I bet pros didn't like being called point and shoots just because they hadn't been a member very long.

But if that was the old way then why are there still a signifigant amount of "point and shoot" people. Are they people who joined a long time ago and still haven't posted very much?
Thanks!

Not sure why there might be some lingering old titles. I don't look at them enough to notice.

The reason you still see "point and shoot" and other old titles is because those members have not logged on since the change to new titles. In other words, it has been ages since they last visited!!!!!

I thought it surely had to do with either length of time or number of posts. I was a New Member for a few months--now I am a Member. Wonder if there are benefits once I become a "Senior" Member (a la AARP?) haha.
